A gringa's attempt to assimilate herself into the culture of vino consumption, killer fĂștbol, and Argentine advertising

My Story

My name is Marshell, oh wait. Sorry...
[Reference to Marcel the shell. If you haven't seen it, hop on YouTube stat!]

Ahem, My name is Anna Smylie and I'm a third year at Mizzou.
Majors: Strategic Communication at the J-school and Political Science
Obsessions: Fashion (shoes in particular), health food and ultimate frisbee
Hobbies: Throwing the disc around, competing in hypothetical law cases via mock trial, attempting to cook, learning the complexities of Adobe programs, and collecting shoes.
Super power of choice: Slow down time (sure would help with understanding Spanish)
Last supper: a large Western-style breakfast complete with eggs, sausage and french toast.

My Program: MU J-school study abroad internship program in Buenos Aires, Argentina for four months
Why Argentina: dipping below the equator during winter, of course. Also, it's my first time exploring a Latin culture. Not to mention I get to experience the best of both worlds by visiting the most European of Latin cities.
Why Blog: Keep family and friends informed is goal number one. I'd also like this blog to be a resource for anyone who plans to visit or stay in Argentina.

With that, chau!
